4 INTERESTING LESSONS WE CAN LEARN FROM RADIO

image

There are so many radio stations in Kenya. And Because Selena Gomez clarified that the heart wants what it wants,we all have our fave radio stations that we tune into to catch up on our fave shows. We can get much more from radio than just sizzling new joints and celeb updates. Radio can teach us a few lessons too…

Connection
We make calls to radio hosts to request for songs. We call to send shout outs to our buddies. It is a chance to connect with friends on a bigger platform and share our interests like when you request for a specific song. DO THIS: Call up your friend next time to just say hi and ask them which songs they’ve recently fallen in love with.
Communication
Maina Kageni has been bashed, trashed and trolled over for his morning talkshow which focuses on relationships, only the dirty bits. Women and men call in all over radios to share their relationship problems and life happenings. Sadly, such information is only fodder for radio and public discussion and nothing else. Nothing ever gets solved, honestly. DO THIS:Try opening up to your partner, friend or the one that you are cross with.
Exploration
Secret sound, counting money,15 seconds of fame-these are some of the radio programmes that are meant to work your brain and test how good you are at memorizing, attentive listening and quick decision making. I bet half of the people who call in to take on these challenges do not believe they can actually do it and only do it for chance. DO THIS:Explore your talents, challenge yourself more and you might see a side to you that you never knew existed.
Listening
On radio,we get the chance to listen to other people’s opinions, their rationale and point of view. We are also given a chance to contribute too. DO THIS: Be accommodative of other people’s opinions and decisions within your life.
What other lessons has radio taught you that you’d like to share and I’ve forgotten?
