Epic adventure packed for you in this new movie set to premiere six days from now. Gods of Egypt is what we are talking about…
.. The survival of mankind hangs in the
balance as an unexpected mortal hero
Bek [Brenton Thwaites] undertakes a
thrilling journey to save the world and
rescue his true love. In order to
succeed, he must enlist the help of the
powerful god Horus [Nikolaj Coster-
Waldau] in an unlikely alliance against
Set [Gerard Butler], the merciless god of
darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s
throne, plunging the once peaceful and
prosperous empire into chaos and
conflict. As their breathtaking battle
against Set and his henchmen takes
them into the afterlife and across the
heavens, both god and mortal must pass
tests of courage and sacrifice if they
hope to prevail in the epic final
From the plot,it’s clear that the world won’t be saved by just a god but also with the help of a mere mortal.
Gods among men
Apart from Nikolaj (Of Game of Thrones) and Gerard Butler who will play immortal beings,I was glad of the human element in this movie. There is a god within us. I hope that didn’t come off as sacrilegious but my point is there is a person we haven’t unleashed.
The person who will take on the world to achieve a single purpose. Love? Career? Good health? Justice? Democracy? Change?
What are you fighting for? Are you fighting hard? Are you recruiting help?
The whole aim of the battle in the movie is so that humanity will be saved. This tells that there is hope for humans. There’s hope for me and you. It sends the message of having faith that despite situations being bleak, our life going down the drain, there’s still hope.
Good old fun
Some scenes looked really funny from the trailer. Like when the human(Brenton Thwaites) tells a god to run for his life, cause…that’s what humans do when things get tough.
What’s our obsession with all things Egypt by the way?
Watch the trailer and share your mind….
Hitting the cinemas on 26th Feb.
