“She’s not your last….”

By Polycarp Nyagisera
{A poem about love}

Her heart was the first to migrate to my house
Next was her pant n blouse
I warned they might be raped by a mouse
She was determined to mark territory for spouse
And truth be told they did arouse

Her kitchen skills were good
My stomach loved her food
It was always in the mood
To gather as much as it could

In her I saw a wife
Someone to share my life
That was before the strife
And constant mention of knife

That day I came from job
And all I found was a mop
My house she had rob
Leaving me to sob

She was my first
And I thought she would be my last
Now I know it was only lust
It was not meant to last
